Subscription and Billing Help

If you purchased through the Apple App Store, Apple handles billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment method issues.

To manage or cancel an iOS subscription:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your Apple ID.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Select Viral Patterns.
  5. Choose the option to cancel, renew, or manage the subscription.

Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel through your Apple ID subscription settings.

For App Store refund requests, use Apple's purchase support process. Viral Patterns LLC does not control Apple's refund decisions.

Some app features require iOS permissions.

Microphone

The microphone is used for speaking practice, live tutor/avatar conversations, speech processing, pronunciation feedback, and transcripts.

To change microphone access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap Privacy & Security.
  3. Tap Microphone.
  4. Find Viral Patterns and update access.

Speech Recognition

Speech recognition helps convert spoken practice into text for feedback, AI tutoring, pronunciation analysis, and progress tracking.

To change speech recognition access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap Privacy & Security.
  3. Tap Speech Recognition.
  4. Find Viral Patterns and update access.

Camera

Camera access should only be used if a released feature asks for it, such as interactive video or avatar functionality. If you see a camera permission prompt and are unsure why, contact support.

To change camera access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap Privacy & Security.
  3. Tap Camera.
  4. Find Viral Patterns and update access.

Notifications

Notifications may be used for practice reminders, streak reminders, vocabulary milestones, progress updates, and important app messages.

To change notification access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap Notifications.
  3. Tap Viral Patterns.
  4. Update notification settings.

Tracking Permission

If iOS asks for tracking permission, you can allow or deny it. Tracking permission may be used for permitted personalization, analytics, product improvement, and measurement.

To change tracking access:

  1. Open iOS Settings.
  2. Tap Privacy & Security.
  3. Tap Tracking.
  4. Update the Viral Patterns setting.

Troubleshooting Checklist

Before contacting support, it can help to try:

  1. Update Viral Patterns to the latest App Store version.
  2. Restart the app.
  3. Confirm your internet connection is stable.
  4. Confirm microphone and speech recognition permissions are enabled.
  5. If audio does not work, disconnect Bluetooth headphones and try again.
  6. If subscription access is missing, use Restore Purchases in the app if available.
  7. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
